Chickens have six different types of feathers which keep them warm and cosy in even the coldest of temperatures, of course they naturally huddle together too!
Have you tried putting your hand on top of the coop in the middle of the night? We have and it's freezing cold... what this tells us is that heat isn't passing through the material therefore insulating it would have no benefit.
If you still feel that you would like to improve conditions for your hens overnight we would strongly recommend using a highly absorbent bedding and changing it frequently.
They would also benefit from a highly calorific afternoon snack, which they will digest overnight.
